DEATHLOOP delayed to Q2 2021

Arkane Studios’ latest major title DEATHLOOP has been rescheduled for Q2 (April, May, June) 2021:

As we’ve adjusted to work-from-home, we found that delivering this new and exciting experience, at the polish and quality level that defines both an Arkane game and a true next-gen experience, is taking longer than normal. This extra time will allow our team to bring DEATHLOOP’s world to life with as much character and fun as you’ve come to expect from our team.

-Arkane Studios

DEATHLOOP is a first-person shooter where you take the role of an assassin stuck in a timeloop on a fancy-shmancy island. The only way to break the loop is by killing eight people – or maybe that’s seven people and one bear – before midnight. And as if that wasn’t annoying enough, you have a rival assassin that looks like she just randomly shows up and kills you. Cool.

Among Us devs announce…Among Us 2

While I missed out on the Among Us train (which apparently has been chugging along for the past two years or so), developer Innersloth announced that the sequel, code-named Among Us 2, is now in the works. Let’s check in on their progress:

We just started planning. There is no art, programming or sound done at all.

-Innersloth

Sounds like they’re doing just great.

Among Us is the Mafia-like multiplayer betrayal game that has 4-10 players working together to get their ship off the ground, except some random number of those players are actually Impostors who are tasked with killing everybody.

Jurassic World DLC now available in Minecraft

The new Jurassic World DLC is now available on the Minecraft Marketplace.

Players get to assume the role of a Park manager and train dinosaurs, build stuff, explore the park, and go on expeditions to find dinosaur DNA.

Helpful hint: don’t skimp out on paying the IT guy.

Baldur’s Gate 3 heads to Early Access on September 30

Larian Studios, Divinity: Original Sin devs, has finally broken their silence on a release date for the much-awaited Baldur’s Gate 3: the game is heading to Steam Early Access and Stadia on September 30.

In the featured livestream, the devs also revealed that one of the main settings for the game is Avernus, the first layer of the Nine Hells.

It’s honestly been so long since Baldur’s Gate II that I’ve pretty much completely forgotten the lore.
