Ubisoft teases Far Cry 6 announcement for Forward event, PS store page leaks

There’s a new Far Cry in town that’s set to be announced at the Ubisoft Forward online event on Sunday, July 12. However, it seems that someone decided to add the Playstation store page early, and we now know the rough story:

Welcome to Yara, a tropical paradise frozen in time. As the dictator of Yara, Anton Castillo is intent on restoring his nation back to his former glory by any means, with his son, Diego, following in his bloody footsteps. Their ruthless oppression has ignited a revolution.

New Initial D THE ARCADE launching 7/23 with four-player races at Akib@ko (Tokyo)

Adding to the gazillion Initial D games already out there, SEGA announced that a new title today: Initial D THE ARCADE will be coming to Akib@ko (an arcade in Akihabara, Tokyo) on July 23. The arcade racer will support up to four-players, a first for the series.

I don’t know how many millions were poured in New World, and I don’t even want to know.

New World MMO delayed to spring 2021

VG247 reports that Amazon’s New World MMO is being delayed to spring 2021 for another round of beta testing. Amazon had already pulled its other title, Crucible due to generally awful reviews.

The trailer of New World that was shown at the E3 PC Gamer PC Gaming Show did not look graphically inspiring. So this might actually be a good thing.

80% of Capcom’s game revenue is from digital purchases

According to Capcom’s 41st general shareholder meeting Q&A summary, the developer/publisher makes 80% of its revenue from digital sales. The company is targeting 90%.

Just a fun fact for today.

Twin Mirror offical website goes live, reveals non-episodic structure

DONTNOD’s Twin Mirror website is up, and while most of the content isn’t exactly new – there’s a teaser video, along with an FAQ and some other minor tidbits – one of the questions in the FAQ does address whether the game will be episodic like Life is Strange (spoiler, it won’t be). One of the descriptions for the gameplay is “reconstruct key events, revisit his past and more to unlock the truth buried deep within his unique mind”, which reminds me of the part in the original Life is Strange where you try to put the pieces together to find a key location.

The “psychological thriller” will be launched on PS4, Xbox One, and PC (exclusively on Epic Games store for one year) at some point in 2020.
