Microsoft Flight Simulator coming to Steam on August 18, VR in Fall 2020
A juicy blog post from the Microsoft Flight Simulator team offered the latest details on the game: first up, the game’s now available on Steam with an official release date of August 18. TrackIR will be supported at launch, while VR support is coming in Fall 2020.
Epic Game Store has 20XX, Barony and Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP for free this week
It’s Thursday, which means more free games from the Epic Games Store. This week, it’s 20XX (Mega Man clone), Barony (mega-pixelated first-person roguelike), and Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP (artsy side-scroller).
League of Legends’ LEC on-air team refused to appear on broadcast unless Riot cancelled the NEOM deal
Some interesting details have been trickling out from the news of League of Legends’ LEC (League European Championship) ending a (15-hour) partnership with NEOM (a funky, futuristic city development project in Saudi Arabia) after backlash from fans, Riot employees, and LEC casters.
The biggest tidbit is that the LEC’s on-air talent collectively refused to appear in a broadcast until the deal with the Saudis was cancelled, which may explain why the LEC’s backtracked extremely quickly.
The LEC onair talent team did not simply share messages on social media and walk away. We raised our concerns internally, meet with LEC leaders, and leaders across Riot Games to outline our collective position against the partnership and the request to terminate the contract. We were prepared to refuse to work the show this weekend to demonstrate how strongly we felt on the topic. I couldn’t be more proud of my fellow casters, but also my fellow rioters who all raised their voices to challenge something we did not believe in.

Moon available for Nintendo Switch on August 27
Classic anti-RPG (I can’t believe this is even a thing) Moon is coming to the Nintendo Switch on August 27, 2020. It’s a bit of an edgy, goofy title where you save monsters’ souls with love rather than fighting, and was reportedly one of the inspirations for Toby Fox’s hit game Undertale.
Moon first debuted on the Playstation in 1997.
New game release: Fae Tactics, scores 79 on Metacritic
In about 12 hours, Fae Tactics will be available for PC on the Steam store. As you might expect from the name, it’s a tactics game in the vein of Disgaea, Final Fantasy Tactics, etc, but uses a pixel-art style. Early reviews are looking pretty decent, with the game scoring a 79 on Metacritic.
