Death Come True Releases July 17 on PC/Steam

Too Kyo Studios’ Death Come True will be released on Steam on July 17, 2020. It’s a full-motion video choice-based game that’s in the spirit of 428: Shibuya Scramble and brought to you by Kazutaka Kodaka, creator of the Danganronpa series.

Technically, you can get it right now on mobile (iOS/Android) and Nintendo Switch.

Yeah, I can’t see anything either.

Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla Gameplay Videos Leaked

There was a monumental gameplay leak of Ubisoft’s upcoming game Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla earlier this weekend. While Ubisoft managed to crack down on a number of sources, the clips are still floating around Reddit.

All in all, the gameplay videos show around thirty minutes of content in the game, and are pretty hilariously janky (some melee attacks look like they launch enemies twenty feet backwards).

Tencent Forms New California-based Studio LightSpeed LA

Tencent Holdings, one of China’s largest gaming and media conglomerates, announced its plans to open a new game studio in California, called LightSpeed LA. Heading the studio is famed-comedy star former Rockstar San Diego studio manager, Steve Martin.

What does this mean? It means the big fish get even bigger. At this point, Tencent might be the largest gaming company in the entire world.

Rockstar is Developing a New AAA Open-World VR Title

And while we’re talking about Rockstar Games, a post on LinkedIn for Video Games Deluxe – a Sydney-based game studio working exclusively with Rockstar – mentions that their next project will be a AAA ope-world VR game. If this is true, it might be the start of a new wave of AAA games (potentially inspired by the success of Half-Life: Alyx) for VR.

Virtual reality is in a weird spot right now. The few AAA games available are exclusives on PSVR and the PC platform mostly just rests on indie games like SUPERHOT and Beat Saber. It’s disappointing because the platform has so much potential and headsets are more affordable than ever (well, at least before Coronavirus).

Get Watch Dogs 2 free for watching the Ubisoft Forward event

Ubisoft Forward is the game developer’s online event that’s livestreaming on July 12, and Ubisoft is giving away copies of Watch Dogs 2 PC if you log into your Uplay account before the end of the show. The show starts at 3PM EDT at ubisoft.com/forward.

I’ll be watching the show but I don’t have a Uplay account and at this point I’m too lazy to create one.
